Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how MétéoMaroc works, where our weather data comes from and which Moroccan cities we cover. Still stuck? Get in touch.

Is MétéoMaroc free?
Yes. MétéoMaroc is completely free to use. There is no subscription and no paywall — it is a public weather utility for Morocco.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. You can open any city page or use the search straight away, without creating an account.
Where does the weather data come from?
All weather data is provided by the OpenWeather API, including current conditions and the 5-day / 3-hour forecast. We display this data and attribute it to OpenWeather.
How often is the weather updated?
The data is refreshed regularly throughout the day. To keep the site fast, results are cached on our servers for about 90 minutes, so what you see is recent rather than second-by-second.
Which cities are covered?
We cover more than 30 major Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Fès, Tanger, Agadir, Meknès, Tétouan, Oujda, Essaouira, Ifrane and Dakhla. Use the city search to find yours.
In which languages is the site available?
MétéoMaroc is available in French (default), Arabic (right-to-left) and English. Each language has its own localized address, and the whole site is translated.
How accurate are the forecasts?
Forecasts come from OpenWeather and are generally reliable for short ranges, but no forecast is perfect. Accuracy decreases the further out you look, so treat the 5-day view as guidance and check back for updates. Do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions.
Who runs MétéoMaroc?
MétéoMaroc is a service published and operated by Noosphere. For feedback or to report wrong data for a city, email [email protected].
